No Rest for the Wicked 1.0 has been delayed to March 2027
by Aran Suddi · tsaThe soulslike action RPG No Rest for the Wicked will no longer be getting its 1.0 release in October, with Moon Studios announcing that it is pushing the release back by sick months to March 2027 for PC and PS5. The Xbox Series XS and Switch 2 versions will get release details at a later time. The reason for the delay is that the team needs more time to polish No Rest for the Wicked and get it to meet the standards expected. A video message from Moon Studios has been released giving more details.
In a statement released alongside the video, Moon Studios wrote, “We have some important news, and we want to be honest with you. No Rest for the Wicked’s 1.0 launch is moving from October 2026 to March 2027. We share your excitement for the October launch, and we’ve felt the encouragement from every corner of the world. Thank you so much for that. The honest truth is that we’re a small team, and we’re holding our games to a standard we won’t compromise on. We’re close, but close isn’t good enough for our full 1.0 launch.
The extra time will help us improve performance, tighten the class system, and polish the whole game to the standard you all deserve. We’d rather take a few more months than ship something that we know isn’t quite perfect yet. This extra time also means more closed and open beta tests in the coming months, which means you, our community, can get your hands on it and help us shape the final 1.0 build. We will have an open beta test in December. We’ll keep communicating on our official social channels about this. We’ll share more over the coming weeks. For now, a few key points:
- Everyone on Steam who purchased No Rest for the Wicked before January 1st, 2027 will receive founders pack rewards, as a thank you for backing us through Early Access.
- PlayStation pre-orders open in January 2027, so PlayStation players will get a chance to earn the Founder’s rewards at that time.
- We will schedule a Wicked Inside for our players very soon. More on this on our socials.
Thank you for continuing to stick with us and being as passionate as you are, it genuinely means everything.”
The Founders Pack that will be available to players who pre-order will get the Spirit Cavern secret hideout, the sword Sayer’s Vow, a custom founders tag, and access to an exclusive public beta test realm.
