International Book Festival in Kochi from November 29

West Bengal Governor C.V. Ananda Bose will inaugurate the 27th International Book Festival here on November 29. Former High Court judge P.N. Ravindran will preside over the function, said a press release. Academic and writer M.K. Sanoo, Mayor M. Anilkumar, and T.J. Vinod, MLA, will speak.

The Governor’s Award will be presented to young poet Sreenivasan Thuneri. ‘Sugatha Smrithi Sadass’, on the second day of the book festival, will be inaugurated by T.K.A. Nair, who served as Principal Secretary to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Former Mizoram Governor Kummanam Rajashekharan will be among the speakers.

The festival will end on December 8. Around 200 writers will participate in the event. Around 200 stalls would be part of the festival, the organisers said.
