Megha’s Path in the World of Art and Research

Graduating in Contemporary Art Practices from the Srishti School of Art and Design, Megha has left her mark in various residencies and institutions, including the Tropical Lab Residency in Singapore, Space Studio in Baroda, and the National Institute of Biological Sciences Archives in Bangalore. Each milestone has enriched her understanding of art and society.

‘Black Ink’ is one of Megha’s important work in the form of a lecture-performance titled ‘Black Ink for Storytellers, Saints, and Scoundrels.’ This presentation delves into memory and history, emphasizing Kerala’s material and historical context while exploring the nuanced aspects of migration. It raises profound questions like, “What happens when one transitions from one life to another?”

Megha’s performance tackled themes of caste, familial bonds and nationhood to unpack the complexities of migration. Personal experiences and contemplations were woven into this narrative, creating an exceptional audience experience.

Currently residing in Koreatown, Los Angeles, Megha is nurturing her art and seeking new platforms to showcase her creativity.
