Police issue notice to BJP activist consider opening a rowdy sheet against her for promoting hatred

The City police have issued a notice to BJP activist H.S. Shakuntala and consider opening a rowdy sheet against her for allegedly promoting hatred and enmity between communities through her social media posts.

By opening a rowdy sheet, the police can keep a tab on her activities as there have been multiple instances of Shakuntala feeding hate posts on social media platforms.

The Jayanagar police had taken up a suo motu case against her on November 24 over her social media post that allegedly insulted the Muslim community. In 2023, the High Grounds police had arrested and released Shakuntala on bail over another social media post for her alleged defamatory comments against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
