BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans spot Chris McCausland's 'revenge' on Dianne Buswell as she dances without him

Strictly Come Dancing fans have joked that Chris McCausland is getting 'revenge' on Dianne Buswell as she prepares to dance without him for the first time since they won the show.

Dianne has recently reunited with her co-stars from the BBC one dance contest as some of the Strictly class of 2024 are set to hit the road. But she'll be without a partner and be among the ensemble when the Strictly Come Dancing Live 2025 tour arrives at arenas up and down the country.

As fans of the hit dance show know, Chris - who was Strictly's first-ever blind contestant and winner - and professional dancer Dianne were paired together for the 20th-anniversary series of the show in September and were eventually crowned champions of the 2024 series following a glittering finale in December.

They fought off competition from fellow finalists Miranda actress Sarah Hadland and partner Vito Coppola, Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and dancer Aljaz Skorjanec and JLS singer JB Gill and partner Lauren Oakley to lift the famous Glitterball trophy, which Chris as 'astonishing'.

But following their win, Chris and Dianne went their separate ways after Chris was unable to sign up for the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour 2025 due to his own touring commitments with his stand-up show, Yonks!

He previously explained about his absence from the upcoming string of arena shows, which Dianne has this week been seen in rehearsals for: "I'm afraid I will not be able to do the Strictly tour. My own tour was meant to be on the road in September and a lot of dates were moved to Jan and Feb to accommodate doing #Strictly. It's unfortunate as it's been so much fun, but my own dates can't be moved for a second time."

Dianne has now given fans a look at what she's been up to in rehearsal and shared some photos which gave away one of the dances set to feature in the live show, courtesy of EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick and his professional dance partner Michelle Tsiakkas.

Fans of the hit dance show may recall that the pair created a memorable moment during the show's Blackpool special as Jamie arrived for his dance on the famous Tower Ballroom floor by descending from the ceiling on top of a giant ketchup bottle prop, before performing a jive routine with partner Michelle.

And it was during Jamie's routine that the extra dancers provided for the epic Blackpool spectacle really got viewers talking as they dressed as various condiment bottles. It's now been revealed that Dianne will be one of those condiment bottles on the upcoming tour as she took to Instagram and asked fans to guess whether she'd be mustard or ketchup.

Some fans have been commenting on social media, with @tvreality93 writing: "I knew Jamie and Michelle would be doing the jive Dianne as a ketchup is sending me #strictly." @barlowss_ joked: "Chris’s secret revenge for Dianne making him to the samba. Our pro champion will be a ketchup bottle." @strictlydbuzz_ added: "Dianne winning strictly or her dressed as a ketchup/mustard bottle, i don’t know which is more iconic."
