Olivia Rodrigo confirms new dates for rescheduled Co-op Live shows

by · Manchester Evening News

Olivia Rodrigo has finally confirmed details of when her two shows in Manchester will take place.

The American singer, known for hits including Driver’s Licence and Vampire, first announced two big shows for Manchester’s Co-op Live for May 3 and 4 earlier this year as part of her GUTS World Tour.

But the gigs were forced to be postponed with just 48 hours notice after the £350m music venue’s opening week of shows were delayed due to a series of technical issues.

Since the postponement, fans have been campaigning for the singer and her team, as well as Co-op Live, to provide them with an update on when the shows will be rescheduled to. Last week, the venue revealed an announcement with more details was imminent.

It has now been confirmed that the shows will now take place in June and July next year. Those with tickets for the May 3, 2024 show will have their tickets automatically moved to a new date of June 30, 2025, whilst those who had bought tickets for the May 4, 2024 show will now automatically be allocated tickets for a show on July 1, 2025.

Co-op Live has said that valid tickets will be automatically moved to the new dates, with seat locations remaining the same as long as ticketholders kept hold of their tickets and did not claim refunds. Further details on any remaining tickets being made available to purchase will be shared closer to the date once all valid tickets have been honoured.

Those who are unable to attend the new date for their original show will be able to claim a refund, but will be unable to transfer their ticket to another date.

In a statement, the Co-op Live website said of the new dates: "Olivia Rodrigo has announced two rescheduled dates at Manchester’s Co-op Live. She will now take to the stage at the UK’s largest live entertainment arena on 30 June and 1 July 2025."

Since the original May dates for Manchester, Olivia has been performing the huge world tour across Europe, as well as in the United States, Canada and Asia. Today (October 9), she kicks off the Australian leg of the tour, which will see her play a total of eight shows across Melbourne and Sydney.
