Strictly Come Dancing's Pete Wicks shares 'wild' change in routine hours before live performance
by Phoebe Jobling · Manchester Evening NewsStrictly Come Dancing contestant Pete Wicks has shared a 'wild' change in his routine ahead of his second live performance. The reality TV star, who is known for appearing on The Only Way Is Essex, is amongst the 15 celebrities competing in the BBC One dance contest this year.
Pete, 36, who is best pals with I'm A Celebrity 2023 winner Sam Thompson and co-hosts the podcast Staying Relevant alongside him, has been partnered with professional dancer Jowita Przystał, 30, for the 20th anniversary series.
Last week, the couple took to the dancefloor to perform their first routine together - a paso doble to the Prodigy's Breathe - which saw them awarded a score of 17 points from the judges.

This week, the pair are set to perform an American Smooth to I Had Some Help by Post Malone and Morgan Wallen. But ahead of their return to the dance floor, Pete has revealed a change in his evening routine.
Taking to his Instagram story on Friday night (September 27), the TV star told his 1.7 million followers: "In bed by 9:30 on a Friday. Wild," alongside a melting face emoji. This followed on from a post shared a few hours earlier, which saw Pete flocking a cowboy hat in a video with his partner, alongside the caption 'one more sleep until I dance like a cowboy."
Earlier this week, Pete was seen ditching Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals for 24 hours as he attended the wedding of his friend and fellow reality star Vicky Pattison. The former Geordie Shore star and her husband Ercan Ramadan officially tied the knot in Marylebone, London, last month, but were hosting another wedding in Puglia, Italy.

Posting a reel of himself suited and booted ahead of the ceremony, Pete shared the caption: "24 hours in Italy". The podcaster has since posted an adorable tribute to Vicky, alongside a photo of the pair in which the bride looked stunning in her gorgeous white lace wedding dress while Pete was seen in a smart black tux and wore his long locks in a neat slicked back bun.
"Couldn’t be more proud of you… @vickypattison," he gushed alongside the black and white photo, in which the two could be seen sharing a laugh, shared on Instagram.
He continued: "For 10 years you have been one of my best friends and biggest supporters. I am so blessed and lucky to call you a friend. You are a wonderful person and have always been there for me, my life is better with you in it. This is your day and you deserve it more than anyone. Congratulations."
