Liam Gallagher issues six-word response after Oasis reunion is mocked on Saturday Night Live

by · Manchester Evening News

Liam Gallagher has reacted to a sketch of him and his brother Noel on Saturday Night Live - asking one hilarious question.

The Oasis frontman was tagged in a clip of the SNL skit that aired over the weekend on the US show on X. Reposting the sketch with James Austin Johnson and Sarah Sherman, a fan tagged Liam and asked 'have you seen this?'.

The superstar singer was seemingly left unimpressed. He asked the fan: "Are they meant to be comedians[?]".

In the sketch, the pair promised host Colin Jost that they wouldn't break up before Oasis' highly-anticipated reunion tour next year. When asked whether they would be 'cool' to tour, Johnson's Noel said: "I'm cool if he's cool".

“I’m cool, I’m cool, I’m cooler than you are,” Sherman’s Liam said. "It’s not a hard no, it’s a maybe." Johnson then started belting out the 'I said maybe' lyrics of Wonderwall before changing the lyrics to 'if Liam doesn’t act like a baby'.

This week Oasis announced more new dates for their historic reunion tour in 2025, with the band adding more shows in Sydney and Melbourne. It takes the number of announced dates now for the Burnage brothers to 30 stadium gigs across the UK and Ireland, North America and now Australia.

All 28 previously announced Oasis shows sold out within minutes of going on general sale. A jaw-dropping 10 million fans tried to get hold of the first 1 million UK and Ireland gig tickets available when they went on sale last month making it the biggest concert launch ever seen in the UK.
