Ruth Langsford has been quizzed on a possible return to This Morning as the current boss steps down from his role. The Loose Women star was quizzed on the news after landing in Australia for an I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here appearance.

While she's not headed into the jungle as a campmate, Ruth has headed Down Under to appear on the ITV reality show's spin-off show, I'm A Celebrity... Unpacked, in support of her fellow Loose Women stars Jane Moore and GK Barry.

The presenter was all smiles as she arrived into Brisbane on Thursday (November 28) after documenting her journey from the UK on Instagram. She said to the Mirror at Brisbane Airport: "I think Jane is doing so well. Of course I am backing her to win, but of course I have Grace as well. I have two Loose Women. Maybe it could be a double win and two Queens of the Jungle."

Talking about Jane’s performance having taken on a recent Bushtucker trial, she added: "I thought Jane was extraordinary in her challenge when she swam underwater. That was extremely difficult, I would not have been able to do that. She was very calm, and you noticed that the only person who didn’t scream on the bus was Jane. She is a good woman."

Ruth also opened up about This Morning which is set for a shake-up after its exec producer Martin Frizell stepped down. He said he was leaving his role as he is "expecting my family priorities to change" and needed to free up time for them. He has overseen the long-running morning show as it won numerous awards including a Bafta and seven National Television Awards.

Asked about the This Morning changes, she said: "I don’t know, I haven’t been on it for two years."Asked if she would fancy going back, she said: "Never say never". But she did rule out going into the jungle herself as she added: "Absolutely not."

Ruth has been busy documenting her trip on social media. Posting on her Instagram Stories, she shared three suitcases and captioned the image: "Australia here I come!! Never could travel light!!! @imacelebrity."

After landing in Dubai for the stopover, she said, "Goodbye, grey skies," as she enjoyed a glass of fizz. She then said her adventure was about to begin before sharing she will appear on Unpacked on Friday. She went on to share a magazine article about her saying she was on her way to the jungle.

She laughed as she captioned the image: "Reading about myself on the plane … bizarre! Can’t believe I’ll be within touching distance of @janepmoore!!"
