Newly single Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein are set to sizzle in Netflix's new project 'Office Romance'.

The 55 year old superstar and the 'Ted Lasso' sensation, aged 44, are gearing up for their roles in the forthcoming romantic comedy. Goldstein isn't just leading the cast; he's also penning the screenplay alongside Joe Kelly. While the storyline is shrouded in mystery at present, the film is on the hunt for a director.

'Office Romance' will be J. Lo's third gig with the streaming giant, following her performances with Simu Liu in the sci-fi hit 'Atlas' and alongside Leslie Lluvet in the action-packed 'The Mother'. Lopez is also lighting up screens with 'Unstoppable', based on the awe-inspiring true tale of Anthony Robles (portrayed by Jharrel Jerome), who, despite being born with one leg, conquers incredible odds to become a wrestling legend.

Produced by Hollywood heavyweights Matt Damon and Ben Affleck from whom Lopez has recently parted ways 'Unstoppable' marks the first joint venture for the duo post their nuptials in July 2022. The former flames had a brief stint collaborating on Affleck's 'Air', delving into Nike's legendary partnership with basketball megastar Michael Jordan.

Affleck has previously lavished praise on his former partner's genius, particularly highlighting her sharp insights during the making of 'Air'. Chatting with The Hollywood Reporter, he said: "I started writing and working with Matt, and Jen gave me some great lines too." He continued, admiringly, "Oh my God, she's brilliant. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the way fashion evolves through the culture as a confluence of music, sports, entertainment and dance."

Dad-of-three Affleck has shared his insights on the deeper significance behind Air Jordans, saying: "She helped me in talking about the way in which a part of the reason why Jordans [the shoes] were so meaningful is because culture and style in America is 90 per cent driven by black culture. Black culture has historically pioneered music, dance, fashion, and it's then been stolen, appropriated, remarketed as Elvis or whatever."

Affleck elaborated: "And in this case, [Nike] a white-run corporate entity, was starting to do business with African-American athletes in an identity affiliation sales thing. They were really taking value from what Michael Jordan represents and who he is. I don't think the meaning can be overstated. They're going to switch from, 'Hey, guys, we are a nice shoe,' to 'If Mike has it, you want it.'".
