Lindsay Lohan's new Netflix Christmas movie sees her reunite with Mean Girls co-star

Lindsay Lohan is set to star in a brand-new Netflix Christmas movie alongside Kristin Chenoweth and Ian Harding - and it's also a Mean Girls reunion.

Netflix is rolling out the red carpet for Lindsay Lohan once again, as she's set to star in a second festive film following her 2022 role in Falling for Christmas.

The Hollywood actress will be sharing the screen with Broadway sensation Kristin Chenoweth and Pretty Little Liars' Ian Harding in Netflix's fresh offering, Our Little Secret.

The heartwarming movie will also feature a Mean Girls reunion, as Lohan's co-star from the 2004 teen comedy, Principal Duvall actor Tim Meadows, is part of the cast.

Meadows also reprised his role in the 2024 musical adaptation of the film, which saw Lohan make a cameo appearance following her unforgettable turn as Cady Heron.

Our Little Secret marks Lohan's third venture with Netflix, having previously starred in The Irish Wish earlier this year, reports the Express.

The actress, famed for her roles in numerous '90s and early 2000s films such as Freaky Friday and The Parent Trap, has also bagged executive producer credits for all three projects.

The plot of the film is as follows: "Two resentful exes (Lohan and Harding) are forced to spend Christmas under the same roof after discovering that their current partners are siblings."

In the newly released trailer, we get a glimpse of the drama unfolding as Lohan's character clashes with her boyfriend's mother, portrayed by Chenoweth.

The ensemble cast also includes Jon Rudnitsky, Henry Czerny, Judy Reyes, Chris Parnell, Dan Bucatinsky and Katie Baker.

Our Little Secret was penned by Hailey DeDominicis and directed by Stephen Herek, known for his work on Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

Chatting to Netflix's Tudum about her upcoming holiday movie, Lohan shared: "The movie is about a girl who's dating someone, and she goes to meet his family for the holidays."

She revealed the plot twist, adding: "Then she bumps into her ex, who is dating her boyfriend's sister. And all kinds of stuff breaks loose."

She expressed her love for the festive period, saying: "It's so beautiful to be able to do films that are associated with holidays because it's family time."

She highlighted the significance of such movies, stating: "When you can make a movie that families can remember and come together to see, it makes it all the more special."

Lohan is set to showcase her talent in a new light in this film, as she divulged: "I think the biggest difference with Avery is that, in this, I did have to do some comedic scenes - I haven't had to go as deep into that before."

Out Little Secret is launching on November 27, only on Netflix.
