Liam Gallagher is sure to have excited Oasis fans after making an announcement about next year's tour.

After fans flocked to grab tickets for next year's tour, many were left disappointed to have missed out. However, those who did manage to land the much-wanted gig stub will be happy to hear the bandmates and brothers are already rehearsing for next year's shows.

Liam was responding to fans on Twitter /X when he made the revelation. After he was asking if the band had started rehearsals yet for the momentous occasion, he simply commented: "We've started."

Fans were quick to share their joy at the announcement. One user gushed in a quote tweet: "AHHH THIS IS GONNA BE BIBLICAL I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS!!!" Another added: "Don’t know how to handle just the thought of it." The interaction also saw Liam call people who "don't hate or like" Oasis "confused" as he mocked those targeting him in the replies. In an earlier comment, Liam took a jibe at singer Peter Andre as he hinted at who would be supporting the band next summer.

He told fans on the social media platform: "Oasis when we’re on it I’d go on after Peter Andre that’s how dangerous I believe we are." The obvious put down of the Mysterious Girl singer was immediately noticed by fans who were quick to comment. One person said: "I said maybe you could cover ‘Mysterious Girl." Another person added: "You are funny."

It's not the first time Liam has mocked the Australian singer. In 2007, Liam reportedly called Peter a "p***y c***" during an interview with Pete branding him a "two-faced coward." At the time Liam was asked which celebrity he would ignore, text or call out of Sir Trevor McDonald, Peter Andre and Dolly Parton.

As well as the epic run of concerts in the UK, Oasis recently announced they're taking their tour stateside. Liam has also confirmed he has permission to return for next year’s run of gigs in Australia despite being given a lifetime ban from Cathay Pacific.

Ahead of tickets going on sale Down Under next week, Liam said: "There are other airlines I can take.” In the 90s, he was allegedly “unruly” on a flight to Oz , for the Be Here Now tour. It was alleged the star had been smoking on board and throwing items at other passengers. He was also said to have been swearing repeatedly, with the pilot allegedly threatening to divert the flight due to the behaviour of the singer and his 30-strong entourage.

However, at the time, Liam insisted: "I don’t know what they’re talking about. They asked me to shut my mouth."
