Emmerdale's Victoria Sugden has entertained viewers for many years with a number of major hard-hitting storylines, but actress Isabel Hodgins's life off screen is far from boring

Emmerdale's Victoria Sugden has been an integral part of the show since actress Isabel Hodgins arrived in 2006 and her storylines have been nothing short of gripping.

From running over the late vicar Ashley Thomas and leaving him in hospital to losing the love of her life and suffering a harrowing rape attack, viewers have seen Victoria overcome a series of heavy duty obstacles.

Co-star romances

A budding relationship between Isabel and Michael Parr, who played Ross Barton in the ITV soap started in 2015 and the pair dated for four years. And while, historically, co-stars tend to keep their romances private, both Michael and Isabel threw caution to the wind after they went Instagram official at the beginning of their relationship. The couple shared a cute snap of themselves on holiday, with Michael posing in a navy blue Hawaiian shirt on.

However, Michael took the opportunity to move to America to pursue a career in acting away from soaps, leaving Isabel to remain in the Dales. According to reports, the pair drifted apart. But Michael is not the only co-star who has been linked to the actress. Speculation mounted last year over her close bond with Lawrence Robb, who plays MacKenzie Boyd. The pair were reportedly spotted cosying up on the red carpet at the Grand Ball in Manchester.

Lookalike siblings

When Isabel took to social media to post a number of snaps of her siblings, fans were left speechless from the uncanny resemblance between the star and her brother and sister. Isabel shared a picture of her brother Adam on his 30th birthday with his two children and captioned the post saying: "Happy 30th birthday to my big brother Adam! Who did big brother things like attempted to teach me how to play the drums, introduced me to Guitar Hero, educated me about bands like Slipknot, Metallica and Orange Goblin - not that it stuck, I’m a pop girl through and through.

She added:"Then when I bought my place did the heavy lifting and ripped up floor boards for me. You will always be the best cook ever! I love you very much." But it's not just Adam, Isabel's sister Charlotte also look the spitting image of the soap star. And again, the actress took the opportunity to share a snap of her sister on social media when it was Charlotte's 31st birthday. She captioned the post saying: "A daughter, a sister, a mother and a wife. Happy birthday Charlotte. Love you."

Dreams of joining Strictly

Even though Isabel is content with dealing with all that Emmerdale throws at her, it looks as though she has always wanted to venture into dance - and join Strictly Come dancing. Her desire became noticeable when she appeared o Loose Women two years ago. Judi Love, who had been confirmed as a contender that year, asked her if Strictly would be something she would consider and Isabel said: "I would, I would! That show... who wouldn't want to do Strictly? It makes me so happy."

Isabel actually has a background in dance as she admitted: "I wanted to be a dancer on the West End, but my life went differently."But this certainly isn't the first time that the star has hinted at competing in Strictly. Appearing on Lorraine Kelly's show back in 2015, she candidly said: "I'm not even going to lie, I'd love to do Strictly!"
