by Joe Smith · The MirrorThe Department of Justice is "protecting someone or something," the spokesman for former President Bill Clinton has claimed.
Angel Ureña, the deputy chief of staff to Clinton made the shock claims in a post on X today blasting the DoJ for "protecting" parties in the release of the documents.
“What the Department of Justice has released so far, and the manner in which it did so, makes one thing clear: someone or something is being protected,” Ureña said in the statement. “We do not know whom, what or why. But we do know this: We need no such protection.”
He accused the DoJ of releasing multiple images of former president Bill Clinton with Epstein to shift the focus away from Trump, who so far has been notably absent in any releases of the documents relating to his long-time former friend Jeffrey Epstein.
In a statement Ureña, identified as "spokesman for former president Bill Clinton," called for any further files relating to Clinton to be released.
"We call on President Trump to direct Attorney General Bondi to immediately release ant remaining materials referring to, mentioning, or containing a photograph of, Bill Clinton".
He added: "Refusal to do so will confirm the widespread suspicion the Department of Justice's actions to date are not about transparency, but about insinuation - using selective releases to imply wrongdoing about individuals who have already been repeatedly cleared."
Clinton was in several photographs released by the DOJ on Friday. One image shows the former president in a hot tub with an individual whose identity is hidden, while another shows a woman, whose identity is hidden, sitting on his lap.
The former president has not been accused of wrongdoing in connection with Epstein.
