Rapper and influencer Lucas Coly tragically died at the age of 27 this week, his manager has confirmed.

The young French-American artist passed away at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Wednesday night. The musician's manager confirmed his death on Instagram under the username "I Discover Stars" on Thursday, writing: "Rest in peace @iamlucascoly I love you bro. My heart is ripped in half. Wait for me up there."

In a follow-up post, the manager said he felt a "hole in [his] heart right now" as he added: "Being your manager was one of the reasons I stayed here. There's a hole in my heart right now Lucas. We used to speak on our struggles all the time but smile for the fans.

"So many people hurt us again and again but we had each other. I don't know what to do now. I'd be a hypocrite if I told you not to, and I go and do the same."

The manager continued: "Honestly, Lucas it hasn't set in yet because I refuse to believe you are gone. Heart ripped to shreds. God send him back here. Please. I'm broken over here #riplucascoly #checkonyourfriends." Lucas' cause of death hasn't been confirmed.

The statement from Lucas' manager came after the musical artist made a last post on his Instagram stories on Wednesday, October 2. He wrote the words "I love yall" with an orange heart emoji over a black background.

Fans took to the performer's page to express their disbelief and shock at the news: One fan wrote: "Omfg no this is breaking my heart so bad rn wtf." Another said: "We gone pray it's fake news."

Lucas was born in France in 1996 and moved to the United States when he was eight with his family. He rose to fame on Vine when he made videos of him rapping in English and French. Since then, the late singer amassed a social media following on different platforms with 1.2 million on Instagram and 470,000 YouTube subscribers.

He was well-known for his songs such as I Just Wanna, Break Ya Back and Numb. He was also in a musical group called Diamondz with friends and internet personalities Willgotthejuice and Dillyn Troy. The musician also was known for dating Instagram star Amber H in 2017. The two launched a joint YouTube channel together in 2018. Their last video was in 2022 and the two also hadn't posted each other on social media recently.

Lucas' manager also asked for prayers for the late singer's girlfriend, as he wrote on Facebook: "I'm not ok. Pray for Amber y'all." He said he was on the phones with the rapper "moments before" his death, adding: "He loved all of his fans. 2024 has been the worst year of my life. Lucas was more of a brother to me than my client."

He added: "Amber will confirm the news when she is ready. Please give her time to process and heal. When the funeral arrangements are set, I will post them here."
