Glastonbury 2025 line-up revealed as Harry Styles and Sabrina Carpenter tipped for top slots
With Glastonbury tickets now sold-out, speculation over the headlining act the festival has been rife and now names including Harry Styles and Eminem have been thrown into the mix
by Lucretia Munro · The MirrorPunters managed to get their hands on tickets for Glastonbury Festival before they sold out.
This year, it was rumoured that six million people had flocked to the official festival website to try and get their hands on tickets, despite the prices continuing to rise. However, fans were left deeply frustrated as a new queue system was implemented - with many booted out of the queue after being told their registered number had been rejected.
And while there are months left until revellers travel to Worthy Farm in Somerset next June, discussions over who will be taking to the Pyramid stage has been a major talking point. Last year saw Coldplay, SZA and Dua Lipa perform. The festival is expected to attract more people than usual next year as in 2026, the festival will be taking a break, as the site needs to recover.
One name that has been thrown into the mix is Harry Styles following his meteoric success as a solo artist since leaving One Direction in 2016. Some bookmakers have given him odds of 4/1 to perform. Since embarking on a solo career, he has two UK number one singles and two UK number one albums under his belt.
And following the tragic death of his former bandmate Liam Payne last month, some have suggested he may use headlining as a way to pay tribute to Liam. Other names include Sam Fender, who has become one of the UK's best live acts and Green Day. American rap star Eminem may also follow in the footsteps of Jay-Z who wowed the crowd in 2008, despite criticism ahead of his performance, as many including Noel Gallagher, felt rap was not a genre for the festival.
And this has reportedly been one of the reasons behind his absence from the Pyramid stage. But over the last few years, Kanye West, Stormzy and Kendrick Lamar have appeared on the coveted stage, performing to thousands of people. And now Eminem is back in the charts after Houdini's success and the release of The Death of Slim Shady, his name has been hotly tipped to take centre stage.
Espresso star Sabrina Carpenter, is reportedly a name that has just been thrown in the mixing bowl. She is currently on a world tour, which reached the UK in March this year and sold out shows in London, Manchester and Birmingham. The Rolling Stones are no strangers to headlining and last played at Glastonbury in 2013, so it has been speculated that they may take to the stage at the festival for one last hoorah.
Mick Jagger and the rock band, made up of Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood were on tour around the US and teased a UK leg, which may coincide with Glasto. Madonna, Billy Joel, Fred Again and Scissor Sisters are also in the running ahead of the festival.
