Angelina Jolie's rarely-seen son is the spitting image of dad Brad Pitt in rare appearance

Angelina Jolie and her rarely-seen son Knox Jolie-Pitt made a public appearance at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences 15th Governors Awards in Los Angeles

Angelina Jolie's son, Knox, was the spitting image of his famous dad, Brad Pitt, as he joined his mum on the red carpet looking every inch the Hollywood star. The mother-son duo attended the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences 15th Governors Awards in Los Angeles. Brad, 60, and Angelina, 48, have six children together, including Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 17, and twins Knox, 16, and Vivienne. But it was Knox who stole the limelight at the prestigious event with his actress mum.

They posed arm-in-arm, beaming for the cameras at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Ovation Hollywood. Angelina looked stunning in a beige strapless dress with a gold panel on the top, accessorising with a silver choker necklace and giant drop earrings. She swept her brunette locks up into a loose bun and opted for dark mascara and red lip gloss. Meanwhile, Knox looked dapper in a black tux, white shirt and black bow tie, bearing a striking resemblance to his dad, Brad. This was his first red carpet appearance in three years, and he debuted a buzz cut along with a short moustache, reports OK!

Knox made his last red carpet appearance in October 2021, when he joined siblings Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, and twin sister Vivienne at the London premiere of mum Angelina's Marvel film Eternals. His brother Pax, however, was noticeably absent from the event. Angelina, who parted ways with Brad in 2019, has shed light on why her children have largely remained out of the public eye in recent years. Speaking to E! News, she said: "They're especially shy, very private people, and they want to be private."

The actress also previously disclosed that her split from Brad was for the wellbeing of her family. In a conversation with Vogue India, she stated: "It was the right decision. I continue to focus on their healing," The star of Maleficent lauded her kids, remarking: "In fact, they are six very brave, very strong young people."

Angelina and Knox's outing follows after Brad and his girlfriend Ines de Ramon made their relationship official at the Venice Film Festival. The 60 year old actor and 34 year old jewellery designer were seen hand-in-hand at the festival in Italy on Sunday, 1 September, making their red carpet debut alongside Brad's long-time friend George Clooney, 63, and his wife Amal Clooney, 46.

Brad and Ines, who are thought to have been together for around two years, were spotted holding hands upon arriving at the venue on Sunday. The couple were seen grinning as they strolled side-by-side. The actor's romance with Ines - who was previously wedded to Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley - is believed to be his first "proper" relationship since his separation from ex Angelina Jolie. Brad and Angelina, who have six children together, separated in 2016 before their protracted divorce proceedings.
