Firefighters are tackling the blaze tonight

A huge fire has broken out at a business premises in Salford tonight. Dramatic pictures show firefighters battling the blaze in Little Hulton.

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said no-one was injured. At the time of writing crews remain on the scene, the MEN reports.

Fire service statement

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue said: "Around 7.30pm this evening (Saturday), firefighters were called to reports of a fire at a commercial property on Manchester Road West in Little Hulton.

"Four fire engines from Bolton Central, Farnworth and Atherton fire stations quickly arrived at the scene of a fire to the first floor of a terraced property.

"Crews remain in attendance as they work to extinguish the fire and make the area safe."

Four fire engines descend on Salford takeaway

A spokesperson for the fire service confirmed to the MEN that four fire engines from across the Bolton and Wigan regions of Greater Manchester have been deployed to extinguish the fire.

No injuries

GMFRS confirmed no-one has been injured in the inferno, though crews are still on the scene battling the flames.

Fire breaks out at takeaway

Flames could be seen shooting from a first floor window of a the row of terraced shops in Little Hulton, Salford, at around 7.30pm tonight (Saturday).

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed its team have been called to battle the blaze at a takeaway on Manchester Road West.
