Oscars security threat
Security at tonight’s Oscars to protect has been dramatically “ramped up” after an FBI alert - with snipers drafted in to protect celebrities.
The sharpshooters - armed with .50-caliber rifles - will be positioned on rooftops in the vicinity of the Dolby Theatre, in Hollywood. It comes after warnings about Iran's desire to launch a drone strike in California, as well as the possible activation of sleeper agents on American soil.
SWAT teams will be drafted in to counter any drone threats, including those capable of carrying explosive devices.
