Ant McPartlin's ex-wife Lisa Armstrong looked happier than ever as she attended the famous Strictly Come Dancing wrap party after the Blackpool live show.

The make-up artist, 48, was all smiles as she was pictured arriving to the hotel to attend the party with other Strictly stars in Blackpool last night. Rocking her new red hair, Lisa was seen wearing a faux-fur camel coat paired with jeans and a black top.

Photos show Lisa happy as she heads for the party while holding a coffee cup. Lisa had been keeping a low profile in recent months following her split from her long-term partner James Green - but recently stunned It Takes Two viewers as she made a dazzling return to TV screens.

James called time on the three-year relationship over the summer leaving Lisa single once more. It had been her first relationship since splitting from husband of 11 years and partner of 23 Ant McPartlin in 2018. Known as one of the best make-up artists in the business, Lisa works on shows like Strictly, bringing the glam to the dancers and judges for the cameras. Apart from a rare cryptic social media post, Lisa has kept her thoughts on her and Ant's split private, choosing instead to throw herself into her work on some of the biggest shows on television.

Appearing on It Takes Two with Janette Manrara, Lisa glowed in a black sequin jumpsuit and white trainers, accessorising her outfit with a gold necklace. Former Strictly pro Janette announced: "Before lights, camera, action, comes lips, glamour, complexion. She's been on Strictly for 17 years and tonight make-up designer Lisa Armstrong is here to chat all things ballroom beauty."

Lisa spoke enthusiastically about her job throughout her segment, looking upbeat and excited, she said: "It's like playing dress-up every week. It's hard work. Inspirationally, creatively, it's the best job." She went on to give beauty advice to fans, as well as dishing out some backstage secrets of the BBC dance competition.

Pals of Lisa said it was no concidence that Lisa made a stunning return to the spotlight just as Ant prepares to head off to I'm A Celeb. Though there was no mention of any of her relationship drama with the focus entirely on Lisa's achievements with the BBC's flagship show.

A friend told the Mail: "Lisa is free of the past. She has been through so much heartache, but look how happy she looked on that [It Takes Two] sofa. It was like the weight of the world had been lifted off of her shoulders."

Another source told the paper: "Lisa loves her job at Strictly and that is her focus between September and December every year. When Lisa goes to work she is Work Lisa. Out of respect nobody mentions Ant and Anne-Marie. She doesn't want to be the famous divorcee so she avoids the limelight at all costs." The source explained that Lisa focused on work through her split, adding that Strictly bosses "were thrilled" she agreed to be involved with the show.
