EastEnders' Molly Rainford surprises fans as she performs ‘beautiful’ duet with co-star

Molly Rainford shot to fame in the CBBC show Nova Jones, but became a household name after her stint on Strictly Come Dancing in 2022, in which she finished as runner-up

EastEnders star Molly Rainford surprised fans as she performed a “beautiful” duet with her co-star.

The Strictly Come Dancing runner-up wowed fans of the BBC One soap when she uploaded a video of herself performing alongside fellow EastEnders star Heather Peace - who plays Eve Unwin - as they sang a rendition of Angie Stone’s hit Wish I Didn't Miss You. “Such an amazing night watching @heatherpeaceofficial perform and getting up to do a little song together,” she captioned the video on Instagram.

Molly, 23, showed off her impressive vocal skills in the clip, and EastEnders stars past and present were quick to heap praise on the actress in the comments. “Goosebumps,” Patsy Palmer wrote, as Michelle Collins added: “Where was this?!! Fab!” While Jacqueline Jossa chimed in: “Loveeeeee this and HAIR.”

Her fans were also full of adoration in the comments, with one writing: “Wow Molly, you're such a beautiful singer like Heather is, who is playing the guitar, anyway hope you’re having a great evening like I am, big fan of EastEnders.” Another agreed: “Your voice is so beautiful, need more videos like this of you performing,” as a third wrote: “Awww wow just fantastic. So much talent on that stage. Love it.”

Molly first began her BBC career on the CBBC kids’ show Nova Jones, in which she played an intergalactic pop star, and in 2022, she surprised fans with her skills on the dancefloor as she competed in Strictly Come Dancing. While she finished as runner-up, Molly struck up a close friendship with fellow celeb Tyler West, and their bond soon developed into romance, and the couple have been dating for more than a year.

“I always say I won more than the Glitterball,” Tyler sweetly told OK! earlier this year, as Molly agreed: “We had such a special time on Strictly. We met some of our bestest friends, we met each other.” The TV presenter was full of praise for his girlfriend when she was cast as Anna Knight in EastEnders last year, "Honestly, I am so proud, and she is also very excited for it," Tyler beamed during an interview on ITV’s Lorraine. “I am well excited. I am like her biggest fan. She makes my heart smile with it all. I am so proud of her and she deserves it and I feel like it's a real big moment.”

Anna is the daughter of Cindy Beale and George Knight, and her most recent storyline involves her falling unexpectedly pregnant with boyfriend Bobby Beale’s baby. However, she’s grappling with secret feelings for Freddie Slater (played by Bobby Brazier), but it was teased that there could be an unexpected surprise for Bobby, as he might not be the father.
