The Strictly Come Dancing judges will be seen taking to the dancefloor in the first results show of the new series later this weekend.

Shirley Ballas, 64, Craig Revel Horwood, 59, Motsi Mabuse, 43, and Anton Du Beke, 58, will once again showcase their moves in a performance which will air on the BBC show on Sunday night. The routine will be broadcast ahead of viewers finding out who the first couple to be voted out of the competition will be.

The four judges will be joined by this year's professional dancers, including newly returned Aljaž Škorjanec, for the performance. Described as an "avant-garde gothic tango," it will be set to a medley of Prince's When Doves Cry and New Order's Blue Monday, both released in the early 1980s.

Head judge Shirley will be battling for the throne against her colleagues in the performance. Photos show the judges each taking a turn in the gold throne, which is surrounded by dancers in gothic-themed outfits.

Craig, dressed in a dark tailcoat, matching trousers, a gold waistcoat and a white shirt, is seen sporting a blonde wig and a crown. Shirley and Motsi are instead pictured in sheer black numbers, whilst Anton brings a splash of colour with a purple tailcoat, gold waistcoat and dark trousers.

The first elimination of the new series - which launched earlier this month - comes following the first live show last weekend, in which 15 couples took to the dancefloor for their debut routines. It provided the first opportunity for the four judges to critique this year's celebrity contestants.

JLS member JB Gill and his dance partner Amy Dowden, who has returned to Strictly this year following cancer treatment, impressed the judges the most, topping the leaderboard with a score of 31 out of 40 for their waltz to Leo Sayer's When I Need You. Whilst singer Toyah Willcox and her partner Neil Jones were the lowest rated pair with a score of 12 for their tango to Madonna's Ray of Light.

Also set to compete in the second live show is presenter Nick Knowles, despite concerns that a shoulder injury he sustained while changing a tyre recently would prevent his participation. The Mirror however revealed on Thursday that he's been given the go ahead to compete on Saturday nightafter being signed off by doctors.

The first Strictly Come Dancing results show will air on Sunday night from 7.15pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The results show will follow this weekend's live show, which will bebroadcast on Saturday from 6.15pm.
