Employees at GTA developer Rockstar Games have officially formed a labor union. Created with the Independent Workers' Union of Great Britain, the Rockstar Game Workers Union represents employees across various locations.

The Rockstar Games union was officially revealed in a video posted to the IWGB YouTube channel. In it, a narrator talks about the abrupt firing of 31 employees at Rockstar Games last year, and how it fueled the movement. The studio was accused of union-busting, but said that the employees were fired for leaking confidential information. The firings led to protests outside of Rockstar offices worldwide.

As stated in the video, the union is looking to secure "pay transparency, flexible working, and an end to crunch.” The union is also planning to take Rockstar Games to court over last year’s firings.

The union is calling for donations as it prepares for an expensive court battle. The formation of the Rockstar Game Workers Union comes as Rockstar Games is six months from the release of GTA 6.
