The Super Mario Galaxy Movie comes to digital platforms next week

A physical release is planned for June.

After dominating at the box office for the past month and a half, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will come to home video next week on May 19. Fans will be able to rent or buy the movie digitally, with Universal Pictures touting a heap of bonus content as part of the package.

Universal Pictures’ Home Entertainment team made the announcement in a press release shared with Shacknews. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will hit VOD on May 19 before it gets a physical 4K release on June 16. There is no current streaming date.

The digital release will also include new bonus features. This includes an easter egg deep dive and interviews with the cast.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie was co-produced by Universal Pictures and Nintendo. Editor-In-Chief Asif Khan scored the movie a 9/10 in his review.
