Invincible VS voice actors and cast list

Who returns to voice fan favorite characters from the show?

by · Shacknews

Invincible VS takes the brutality of the original comic, brought to mainstream audiences in the Amazon animated series adaptation, and puts it right where it belongs: a fighting game. This 3v3 brawler made a positive impression on our own TJ Denzer, but you may be wondering who is handling acting duties. Is your favorite character voiced by the same actor from the show? Let's take a look.

Invincible VS voice actors and cast list

Allen the Alien - James Adomian

While Allen the Alien is voiced by Seth Rogan on the show, James Adomian takes on the role for Invincible VS. The stand-up comedian has worked on shows like Gravity Falls, Bojack Horseman, and Harley Quinn, but this is his first video game credit.

Anissa - Shantel VanSanten

Shantel VanSanten makes the jump from the show to voice acting, continuing her work voicing Anissa, and eagle-eyed FPS fans might recognize her as Wrath from Apex Legends. As a big fan of turn-of-the-millennium style horror, I personally know her best from The Final Destination.

Atom Eve - Gillian Jacobs

Atom Eve fans will be happy to know that Gillian Jacobs brings her considerable voice-acting chops from the show to keep one of the series' best characters in the forefront of the action. Jacobs has a considerable resume, but really solidified herself as a talent in Community, and has since worked on all manner of TV shows.

Battle Beast - Michael Dorn

The trend continues, as Battle Beast is voiced by Michael Dorn, the actor who plays the might leonine warrior on the TV show. Dorn is likely best known as Worf, Son of Mogh, a Klingon Starfleet officer from a variety of Star Trek shows, including Next Generation and Deep Space Nine.

Bulletproof - Jay Pharoah

Jay Pharoah returns to voice Bulletproof, which is great news as it's hard to imagine anyone else voicing this character. From the moment he arrived in the show, trash-talking Rex Splode, he's been a firm favorite. Pharaoh has spent time on Saturday Night Live and has previous game experience as Andre from Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

Cecil Stedman - Gavin Hammon

Gavin Hammon steps into the sneaky shoes of Cecil Stedman, replacing Walton Goggins, who brought the character to life on the show. Hammon has some serious video game credentials, spending time with Telltale on both The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us, Xenoblade, Diablo, and the Fire Emblem series.

Conquest - Ross Marquand

Conquest, the Viltrumite you love to hate, is voiced by Ross Marquand, who replaces Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Marquand actually plays Immortal on the show, and previously appeared on TV shows like The Walking Dead, X-Men '97, and Mad Men.

Dupli-Kate - Malese Jow

Bucking the trend of actors being replaced, Malese Jow returns to voice Dupli-Kate. While a lot of attention is paid to the huge stars the Invincible show can pull in, talent like Jow also shows that their casting efforts extend far beyond just finding a big name, as Dupli-Kate would be very odd if voiced by anyone else.

Ella Mental - Tierra Whack

If you are wondering who Ella Mental is, then have no fear. This is a new character created by Robert Kirkman for Invincible VS. Voiced by Tierra Whack, the rapper and singer brings all the presence you could hope for to the role and has appeared in Grand Theft Auto Online.

Invincible - Aleks Le

Aleks Le steps into the role of Invincible, a character that was performed with absolute aplomb on the show by Steven Yeun. Aleks does a great job finding the heart of the character, but also manages a solid Yeun impression, so there is no dissonance as you listen to the character.

Le has only been voice acting since 2019, which is honestly a pretty short time in the industry, but has amassed a pretty ridiculous resume. He has worked on anime such as Record of Grancrest War, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Sword Art Online, Demon Slayer, The Rising of the Shield Hero, Kuroko's Basketball, Vinland Saga, and Spy x Family, among others.

Lucen - Phil LaMarr

Voice-acting legend Phil LaMarr reprises his role as Lucan. LaMarr voices Hermes Conrad in Futurama, but has also been in Powerpuff Girls, Shark Tale, Scooby Doo, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He also voiced Dusk in Tekkonkinkkreet, and I'll take any excuse to talk about that film. Also, you might not realize that you witness poor Mr. LaMarr get shot in the face in Pulp Fiction, where he played Marvin in one of his very first roles.

Monster Girl - Adam Sietz and Grey DeLisle

Grey DeLisle returns to play Amanda, but the more monstrous side of this character is covered by Adam Sietz, who appeared in Star Wars: Visions, Gotham Knights, and did some roles in Grand Theft Auto V.

Omni-Man - J.K. Simmons

J.K. Simmons once again proves himself to be one of the goats as he returns to the role of Omni-Man. Simmons has an incredible career, portraying characters like J. Jonah Jameson in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man movies, and also turning in one of the most charged performances in cinema history as a ludicrously abusive and manipulative music teacher in Whiplash.

Powerplex - Michael Schwalbe

Michael Schwalbe takes on the role of Powerplex, replacing Aaron Paul. Schwalbe has worked on Genshin Impact, Boruto, and Record of Ragnarok, so he has the chops you need to replace a very recognizable talent and hang with a stacked cast.

Rex Splode - Jason Mantzoukas and Ryan Goldsher

A double credit for a single character is certainly an odd one, but in this instance, it seems that Mantzoukas returns for the voice work, while Ryan Goldsher provides additional sounds such as grunts.

Robot - Ross Marquand

As previously mentioned in his role as Conquest, Marquand also provides voice work for Robot.

Titan - Todd Williams

Todd Williams returns as Titan. Williams has a range of credits across TV and video games, appearing in Spider-Man: Miles Morales, XCOM: Chimera Squad, Marvel Zombies, and Teen Wolf.

Thula - Grey DeLisle

As well as coming back for Monster Girl's Amanda form, Grey DeLisle also reprises the role of Thula, the hair-whipping Viltrumite. DeLisle has played Daphne in Scooby Doo, and stepped in to cover Martin Prince and Sherri and Terri in The Simpsons after Russi Taylor sadly passed away.
