The fourth character vote for Deadlock’s City Never Sleeps update is over, and with its ending, Deadman Danny has been unlocked for play. With him comes an explosive and high-flying kit, courtesy of his benefactors at Fairfax Industries.

Deadman Danny was announced as the winning vote of the fourth Deadlock City Never Sleeps character unlocks in a Steam developer post. Danny follows behind Rat King, Baba, and Solomon, who won their votes in previous cycles in that order. All that’s left is Nurse Harrow and the artist, Violet.

Deadman Danny features a jetpack and a rocket launcher, and his kit is as follows from the game:

  • Strix Salvo: Launch a salvo of spirit missiles that lodge into the ground along a line. The missiles explode after a delay or upon detecting an enemy, dealing spirit damage and marking the target. Shooting a marked enemy with a charged shot consumes the mark to deal bonus spirit damage and apply a fading slow.
  • Chimera Mk1: Hold jump to fly, building up heat. When max heat is reached, your jetpack will begin to overheat. Overheating: After a short delay, dive to the ground. Upon impact, create an explosion that deals damage and launches you and nearby enemies, if no hero is hit, Danny stuns himself. The ability can be activated to dive early. After overheating, the jetpack cannot be used until it cools down.
  • Jettison Fuel: Spray jetpack fuel, dealing weapon damage over time and shredding bullet resist, building up to a huge backblast that deals spirit damage and knocks you backwards. Vents heat from the jetpack when dealing damage.
  • Close the Deal: Grab an enemy and give them a hands-on demonstration, flying high into the air before crashing back into the ground. You and the participant take spirit damage over time while falling and spirit damage upon impacked. Damage is increased to enemies over 50 percent health.

That covers the details of Deadman Danny, who is available to play in Deadlock now. Stay tuned to the Deadlock topic for more news and updates.
