Payday TV show in the works with 50 Cent producing

Vice Studios and Starbreeze Entertainment are producing the Payday show.

The Payday franchise is part of the long line of video games set to receive a television adaptation. Being made in collaboration with developer Starbreeze Entertainment and Vice Studios, Payday has added 50 Cent as an executive producer.

Variety reported that Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson had come aboard the Payday adaptation. “G-Unit Film & TV has built cinematic crime stories that connect with audiences around the world,” said Jackson in a statement. “Teaming up with Vice Studios and bringing the world of ‘Payday’ to the screen gives us the chance to build something big, a high-energy franchise that pushes the heist genre forward.”

The Payday series is yet to set a cast, writer, or showrunner. It’s also not attached to any streaming services or television network.

The producers have also stated that the Payday series will feature the heists and high-level action that the games are known for. Payday 3, the latest game in the series, was released in 2023. That said, Payday 2 continues to be the series’ most popular entry, earning double the amount as its successor in 2025.
