Dear Crown Heights Community,

You showed up. And what a beautiful statement that made.

Over 550 people came together for an unforgettable evening to honor the life and legacy of our beloved Dr. Allan Plaut, z״l.

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU.

Thank you for coming. Thank you for remembering. Thank you for honoring a man who gave so much of himself to so many, and who so deeply deserved this beautiful tribute.

To the entire Plaut family, we extend our heartfelt gratitude. Thank you for joining us and allowing us the privilege of honoring your beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Thank you for sharing him with our community for so many years. While he was your family, in so many ways, he became part of ours as well.

Dr. Plaut was the true embodiment of a Rofeh Yedid — a doctor who was also a friend.
He was so much more than a physician. He was a source of comfort, reassurance, kindness, and hope. He was there for us during our happiest moments and our most frightening ones. He cared not only about the illness, but about the person behind it.

The Rebbe’s guidance played a significant role in Dr. Plaut’s approach to medicine and in the way he cared for his patients.

Our Chazal teach us that saving one life is like saving an entire world.

Just imagine how many worlds Dr. Plaut helped save.

How many families he comforted. How many worried parents he reassured. How many children he cared for, who eventually grew up and brought their own children to him.

And perhaps what made Dr. Plaut so extraordinary was that he did it all with such humility, warmth, and genuine concern.

He never made us feel like just another patient. He made us feel that we mattered.

And judging by the overwhelming turnout, he mattered to all of us.

To the more than 550 people who filled the room, your presence spoke louder than words. You reminded the Plaut family, and one another, of the tremendous impact one person can have on an entire community.

An evening like this does not happen on its own. It takes the generosity, dedication, and kindness of so many wonderful people who give of themselves without expecting anything in return.

We would like to express our deepest appreciation to everyone who helped make this beautiful tribute a reality.

A very special thank you to Dr. Plaut’s extraordinary office team:

– Sarah Greenspan
– Miriam Goldburd, PA
– Elisheva Lewis, NP
– Eidel Kaufman

Thank you for holding down the fort, keeping the office running, and continuing to care for the patients and families who depend on you.

You are truly an exceptional team. Your compassion, dedication, patience, and genuine concern for every person who walks through the door are a beautiful continuation of everything Dr. Plaut stood for.

To Beth Rivkah School, thank you for your generosity and support in helping make this evening possible.

To Benny and Chanale Friedman, thank you for sharing your beautiful talents and helping make this tribute so deeply moving and memorable.

Our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to:

Dr. Plaut spent his life being there for us. On this special evening, Crown Heights showed up for him.
