This Chanukah, we shine a light on the individuals whose quiet strength and unwavering dedication helped build and sustain Crown Heights. Each night, we honor a different community hero whose legacy continues to guide our work at CHJCC.
Tonight we honor R’ Avraham Flint OBM
Rabbi Avraham Flint devoted over two decades to the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council. With his sharp mind, calm presence, and constant readiness to step in, he became a steady source of support for countless individuals and families seeking guidance, stability, and solutions.
A Talmid Chochom with a deep sense of communal responsibility, R’ Avraham served in many roles throughout his life, including being appointed by the Rebbe as the Crown Heights representative to the New York City school board, always advocating for the wellbeing and dignity of every resident. His humility, intelligence, and boundless patience left a lasting imprint on our neighborhood.
To honor his legacy of service, you may dedicate tonight’s light with a gift that helps CHJCC continue the vital work to which he gave so much.
His dedication illuminated the path for many.
