by COLlive Editor · COLliveMikvah.org has opened registration for their Shana Rishona Course—back by popular demand. Curated for newly married couples, the series features hadracha rooted in Torah and Chassidus from veteran Rabbonim and Kallah Teachers and offers couples insight on how to enjoy a harmonious marriage.
Knowing how to communicate with one’s spouse often requires guidance. When a husband and wife are joined under the chuppah and the routine of life it is important to learn how to build a rhythm of communication, understanding, and respect. Men and women often perceive situations differently, and every individual is unique in how they process the world around them. Setting the tone for communication and understanding each other’s needs early in marriage provides couples with a strong foundation. Additionally, investing in an environment of peace and warmth in the home sets a couple up for lifelong success and enriches their relationship over time.
Mikvah.org, in collaboration with Shalom Task Force, is hosting a six-part seminar for new couples focused on building shalom bayis with an emphasis on communication skills. Learning these techniques will empower couples with a toolbox to utilize as they create the pathway for their life as husband and wife. Couples will emerge from the series with a roadmap to navigate their new life together, and new roles- including the moments that require closer attention, deeper attunement, and self-awareness.
This course is open to couples within the first two years of marriage. Sessions will be led by expert instructors with decades of experience in the areas of shalom bayis.
