At the 11th Annual Gala Chinuch Banquet in Connecticut last week, nearly 1,000 Mechanchos from around the world gathered to celebrate their vital Shlichus, through an unforgettable program centered on celebrating fifty years of transforming the world through Chinuch.

The inspiring program honored the dedication of Chabad educators and featured music with Moussia Mendelsohn, multimedia productions directed by Chaim Zippel, and moving reflections on the tremendous impact of Mechanchos around the world.

Five educators who each explored one decade since the Rebbe launched Mivtzah Chinuch, included: Mrs. Malka Katz, Veteran Teacher in Southern Connecticut Hebrew Academy, Mrs. Sterna Krinsky, Teacher in Bais Rivka High School in Crown Heights; Mrs. Zlatie Benjaminson, Preschool Morah in Cheder Lubavitch in Morristown; Mrs. Chana Friedman, Principal of Bader Hillel High in Milwaukee and Mrs. Ahava Glaskie, Teacher in Bais Chaya Mushka in Los Angeles.

Musical performer Moussia Mendelsohn, led Mechanchos in song and dance, and moving multimedia productions explored how Mivtzah Chinuch unfolds, through a unique interactions of teachers and students many years later.

A moving address by Rabbi Zalman Shneur, Founder and Executive Director of the Menachem Education Foundation, highlighted the incredible growth of the Kinus over the past 11 years, and thanked the generous sponsors of the program for making this unforgettable experience possible.

The international representation created a special energy in the room – where Mechanchos from literally every corner of the universe, gathered over their shared mission of being Mechanech today’s children, and connecting to each and every one of their students. The spirited roll call by Name and dancing until the banquet’s end, showed how much joy each educator feels in her shlichus.

The inspiration continued late into the evening with a family farbrengen led by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Gluckowsky with his daughters, followed by other Mechanchos-led farbrengens, providing meaningful opportunities for reflection, connection and personal growth.
