Florida Governor Hosts Chanukah Celebration
The Florida Governor’s Mansion was aglow with the lights of the Menorah as Governor Ron DeSantis hosted a menorah lighting ceremony in honor of Chanukah.

Also in attendance were Lieutenant Governor Jay Collins and other elected officials.
The prayer was delivered by Rabbi Schneur Oirechman, Director of Chabad of the Panhandle, who was in attendance with his wife, Chanie and children. Rabbi Oirechman thanked the Governor for his steadfast support of the Jewish community and of Israel, leading with moral clarity and fighting for our values.
Other Shluchim in attendance included Rabbi Dovid Vigler from Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Rabbi Leizer Barash of Emerald Hills, FL and his son-in-law Rabbi Mendel Cunin.
The Governor spoke about the freedoms we enjoy in the United States, and the continued fight against antisemitism here and in the land of Israel.
