R' Shloma Zuntz, a longtime Crown Heights resident who was active in assisting Jews from the Former Soviet Union for many years, passed away on Friday, 14 Tishrei, 5787.

He was 83.
R’ Shloma was the director of the Lishkas Ezras Achim organization, a Chabad organization founded in the 1960s to provide financial aid, religious supplies and support to Jews behind the Iron Curtain, later helping rebuild Jewish communities and establish Chabad centers throughout the region.
He is survived by his wife Yocheved and children Avremi Zuntz of Crown Heights and Dovi Zuntz of Crown Heights.
The levaya will take place today, Friday, passing by 770 at 10:45 am, and burial at Old Montefiore Cemetery at 11:30 am.
