by COLlive Editor · COLliveIn the days leading up to Gimmel Tammuz, Or HaChassidus launched a first-of-its-kind campaign bringing the Rebbe’s Torah directly to major Chareidi communities.
Special sales were held in Lakewood, Monsey and Boro Park, offering a wide selection of the Rebbe’s sefarim at significantly reduced prices. The selection included individual volumes as well as full sets of Sifrei Chassidus and Likkutei Sichos, making the Rebbe’s Torah more accessible to a broad audience.
Ahead of the actual sales, a wide-reaching advertising push was publicized in Chareidi media, including print ads, digital platforms, radio and news outlets.
Alongside the sefarim sales, participants were invited to submit a pan with their names and personal requests, to be brought to the Rebbe’s Ohel on Gimmel Tammuz.
The response to the sales, held in Lakewood, Monsey, Boro Park, and other locations, far exceeded expectations. Hundreds of people visited the sale locations, browsing and purchasing sefarim, many expressing a strong interest in gaining clearer and more organized access to the Rebbe’s teachings.
In Lakewood, the sale continued late into the night, with people still arriving and purchasing sefarim into the early hours of the morning.
In Boro Park, the event at times took on the atmosphere of a farbrengen, as visitors began sharing personal memories and encounters they had experienced with the Rebbe. Others gathered around, listening with rapt attention.
In Monsey, dozens of participants submitted names to be mentioned at the Ohel on Gimmel Tammuz, alongside dozens more of sales on the full range of Chassidus seforim.
Rabbi Avraham Mann, founder and director of Or Hachasidus, said the response reflected a deep and growing connection to the Rebbe and his Torah.
“What we witnessed was remarkable,” he said. “It showed how strongly the Rebbe, his teachings and influence continue to resonate, year after year, far beyond Lubavitch. Around Gimmel Tammuz, there is a real awakening and a sincere desire among people of all types and stripes to connect with the Rebbe’s Torah.”
Organizers point out the goal of the campaign was not only to distribute more sefarim, but to encourage actual learning and to bring the Rebbe’s Torah into more homes and batei midrash. Many of those purchasing the seforim said they plan to do exactly that.
“We hope this initiative will be another step in preparing the world for the complete Geulah, in line with the Rebbe’s constant call to spread Torah and Chassidus,” organizers said. “As the Rebbe said at the Chai Elul 5742 farbrengen, perhaps one more sefer of Chassidus purchased and studied will be the final action that tips the scale and brings the true and complete Geulah.”
