Padawan 4×4 Club to host New Year 2026 countdown celebration near Kpg Tabuan Rabak
by Samuel Aubrey · Borneo Post OnlineKUCHING (Dec 19): The Padawan Adventure 4×4 Club Kuching will ring in the new year with the Puncak Borneo New Year 2026 Countdown Euphoria, to be held on Dec 31 at an open area near Kampung Tabuan Rabak along Jalan Kampung Mambong/Sarig.
Club president Ramces Tawang said the celebration will begin at 8am with a variety of activities, including a 4×4 off-road vehicle display by members of several 4×4 clubs, a food and beverage bazaar, and a karaoke session for visitors.
The evening programme will start at 7pm, featuring live band performances by the popular R2 Band and several invited singers, including Indonesian dangdut singer Siti Shinta, who is expected to entertain the crowd during the four-hour show.
Puncak Borneo MP and Padawan Adventure 4×4 Club patron Datuk Willie Mongin will be the guest of honour and will lead the countdown to welcome 2026 alongside invited community leaders and members of the public.
“The highlight of the night will be the New Year fireworks display when the clock strikes midnight,” Ramces said.
He invited members of the public to join the celebration, noting that admission to the venue is free.
There will be 20 stalls offering a variety of food, beverages, fruits and jungle produce at the venue.
