MIRI (Dec 18): The excellent awards ceremony serves not only to honour academic achievements but also to recognise students’ all-round excellence, including their character, leadership, discipline and participation in co-curricular activities, said Sarawak Transport Minister Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin.

Lee said such recognition reflects the aspirations of the Education Ministry to produce well-rounded students who are developed physically, emotionally, spiritually and intellectually.

He congratulated all award recipients, noting that their achievements were the result of hard work, perseverance and strong determination in the pursuit of knowledge.

“However, students should not become complacent, as the journey of learning is still long and full of challenges.

“Let this success serve as a catalyst to achieve even greater excellence in the future,” he said when officiating SK Kuala Baram Excellent Awards Ceremony here on Tuesday.

At the same time, Lee encouraged students who did not receive awards not to feel disappointed or discouraged, but to continue striving, improve their discipline and cultivate a resilient, never-give-up attitude.

He also expressed his highest appreciation to the teachers of SK Kuala Baram for their dedication, patience and continuous commitment in educating and guiding students, acknowledging their vital role in shaping a knowledgeable and morally upright future generation.

Lee further thanked parents and guardians for their support with the school, stressing that students’ achievements today are the result of teamwork between educators and families.

He expressed hope that the Excellent Awards Ceremony would serve as motivation and inspiration for the entire SK Kuala Baram community to continue striving for success and to nurture a generation capable of contributing to religion, society and the nation.
