KUCHING (Nov 17): Agrobank has launched the “Pemerkasaan Komuniti Melangkaui Perbankan: Kisah Kejayaan Usahawan Bimbingan ACE” coffee table book yesterday, showcasing the success stories of entrepreneurs nurtured by the Agrobank Centre of Excellence (ACE).

The book aims to serve as both a general reading resource and a reference for people of all ages, offering motivation for those exploring agri-food-based business ventures.

Agrobank president and chief executive officer, Dato Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah Raja Hussin, expressed the bank’s pride in introducing the book, underscoring Agrobank’s mandate to drive growth and development in Malaysia’s agricultural sector.

“This book is a testament to Agrobank’s enduring support as the backbone of our entrepreneurs’ journeys. We have stood by them from the beginning, and today, many have become successful agropreneurs with thriving businesses.

“Written by ACE faculty members and meticulously curated by an experienced panel of writers, the book highlights the critical importance of the agricultural sector, aligning with the nation’s food security agenda,” he said during the launching ceremony at VivaCity Megamall here.

Addressing lingering perceptions about agriculture, he noted that some still view agriculture as an unremarkable profession.

“However, we must not overlook its vital role as a primary sector in ensuring the nation’s food supply,” he said.

The book was officially launched by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) governor Dato’ Seri Abdul Rasheed Ghaffour.

At the launch, Agrobank introduced a two-minute cybersecurity awareness video aimed at educating the public about scams, in line with initiatives by BNM.

Also present were Agrobank regional director Abdul Halek Abdullah, ACE chief Rosli Jusoh and BNM Financial Inclusion Department Director Nor Rafidz Nazri.
