Bella Hadid Subtly Revealed Why She’s Skipping the 2026 Met Gala

Looks like Bella Hadid is skipping the Met Gala for the fourth year in a row.

Reddit sleuths noticed that the supermodel subtly implied she’ll be missing the 2026 “Costume Art” red carpet when she dropped a pointed “Like” on a video criticizing Jeff Bezos’ involvement in the annual event. You can watch the video and see her alleged “Like” over this way.

Bella was last at the Met Gala in 2022 for “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” where she wore a corseted leather look with lace tights and gloves. Literally so good:

For what it’s worth, Bella has stepped away from the spotlight in general recently, and spends tons of time focusing on her passion for horses in Texas. In 2024, she chatted to Allure about taking a step back, saying, “After 10 years of modeling, I realized I was putting so much energy and love and effort into something that, in the long run, wasn’t necessarily giving it back to me.”

She later added, “For the first time now, I’m not putting on a fake face. If I don’t feel good, I won’t go. If I don’t feel good, I take time for myself. And I’ve never had the opportunity to do that or say that before. Now when anybody sees me in pictures and they say, I look happy, I genuinely am. I am feeling better; my bad days now were my old good days.”
