Christina Aguilera’s Latest Era Comes in a Very Good Bottle (Exclusive)
As Global Creative Director and a stakeholder, how involved will you be in shaping everything from the brand’s campaigns and visuals to the way Beau Joie shows up at parties, dinners, and big life moments?
· CosmopolitanChristina Aguilera has spent her career turning every new era into an event. From the irresistible temptation of her timeless debut single “Genie in a Bottle” to the fearless, ultra-glam maximalism of her fourth studio album, Stripped, she has never been afraid to make a statement. Her next chapter? Champagne. The Grammy Award winner has joined Beau Joie as a stakeholder and Global Creative Director, bringing her signature unapologetic energy to the luxury brand known for its handcrafted, metal-clad bottles and low- and no-added-sugar cuvées.
For Christina, the partnership feels less like a random brand move and more like a full-circle plot twist—an extension of the music, glamour, and celebration that have long defined her career. Whether she’s toasting with friends after a performance, hosting an intimate gathering at home, or helping dream up limited-edition designs, she sees Beau Joie as a way to make life’s good moments feel even more special. Below, Cosmo talks with Aguilera about her new venture, her vision for the brand, and why, after decades of giving us the soundtrack to getting ready, going out, falling in love, and starting over, she’s now giving us the Champagne to match.
You’ve spent your career creating iconic eras—from your debut to the bold, boundary-pushing world of Stripped. What drew you to Beau Joie?
I was attracted to this Champagne in particular because it is original, authentic, unique. The bottles are absolutely gorgeous, super sexy. From the flavor to the packaging, the brand is really about delivering a luxury beverage with the benefit of no added sugar.
“Genie in a Bottle” made the world think about temptation, desire, and the perfect night out. What does your ideal celebratory night look like now?
It's so special to celebrate this launch with something so full circle. An ideal celebratory night could be a beautiful dinner with amazing ambiance with friends in a super fun setting, or a toast with friends on a more intimate level at my home or in my backyard. It really depends on the occasion! But that's what's great about Champagne. It's good in any setting. A beautiful bottle like one from Beau Joie really elevates any moment to celebrate.
The early-2000s Christina was all about maximalism: red lipstick, low-rise everything, and colored hair extensions. Does your creative vision for Beau Joie tap into that same unapologetic spirit, or are you entering a more refined era?
With any era, my priority is to always lead with an unapologetic spirit. Whether I'm going for unique, different, or bold, it's all about making a statement. These one-of-a-kind bottles feel like your own keepsake from the moments you've spent celebrating yourself and the people you love.
You’ve described yourself as someone who loves to celebrate. How has your relationship with enjoying a drink evolved as a performer so often on the road?
When working and performing on the road, it becomes essential to pick and choose your moments. After being so focused for a show, it feels so special to celebrate all that hard work with friends. Celebrating without the added sugar is such a bonus.
I'm so excited to contribute to how we'll position the brand in the larger culture and how we can integrate the brand deeper into a community of artists. I’m also excited to launch other limited-edition bottles, which will be so fun to design! You’ll be seeing the brand show up in my own projects and lifestyle.

Your music has always had a strong visual identity. What kind of world do you want to create around Beau Joie?
A strong visual identity is super important with anything that I'm creating. With this venture in particular, the bottles are already strong, independent, sexy, unique. You feel this energy just from looking at the packaging alone. I want to continue to create a place where fans can really celebrate life's special moments with the people they love.
“Bubble Better” is a clever tagline, but what does it mean to you beyond the fact that the Champagne has low- and no-added-sugar options?
I love Bubble Better. It's really about the overall brand experience, high-quality wine, a handcrafted bottle, and making a better choice.
You’ve performed at some of the biggest celebrations in the world. What have those experiences taught you about the role a great drink plays in making a moment feel memorable?
My favorite moments are when everybody comes together to toast a good time. It makes space for the whole room to pause and remember why we're all here. Sharing those memories with Beau Joie has been so special to me, and I'm so excited to share that with my community.
Cosmopolitan readers grew up with your songs as the soundtrack to getting ready, going out, falling in love, and starting over. What do you hope they’ll feel when they see you attached to this brand?
I want this brand to feel like an extension of the memories fans have made through my music. Whether you're getting ready to go out with friends, falling in love, starting over, celebrating a good time, Beau Joie is always a perfect place to start.
If you could pair one Beau Joie cuvée with a Christina Aguilera song, which pairing would you choose?
The obvious answer goes back to the first question! I have to say “Genie in a Bottle.” It really encapsulates the feeling of this collaboration. It's sexy, bold, daring, flirty, just like Beau Joie.
