Will ‘Love Island USA’ Season 8 Still Have Movie Night?

· Cosmopolitan

Love Island USA delivered a massive twist on Sunday night: the women had to watch the men experience Casa Amor on a live feed, and now fans are left wondering: WILL THERE STILL BE A MOVIE NIGHT?! (All-caps necessary due to heightened emotions.)

If you’re new to the Villa, Movie Night is a truly diabolical occasion, where the entire cast sits down—with popcorn, of course—to watch clips from the season. The clips are almost always dramatic, and include footage of what went on behind closed doors when couples were “exploring” other relationships, and also of comments made by friends behind each other’s backs. So…yeah, one might say it’s the ultimate test in these relationships.

But is Movie Night even happening this season? Right now, things are TBD. Love Island USA Season 7 opted out of Movie Night and fans made it very clear they were upset, so there’s no way producers aren’t well aware that people want it back. However, it’s possible that the Casa Amor live feed “counted” as movie night, meaning the cast won’t have to sit down to watch moments from past episodes.

Either way, Movie Night typically happens after Casa Amor (which is running until Friday) and about a week before the season wraps up. Stay tuned, and remember that this show is as close to live as you can get for edited TV, so if fans are loud enough about wanting Movie Night, chances are the producers will notice!
