These Nail Artist-Approved November Manicure Ideas Are Perfect for Cozy Season

November Nail Ideas:

· Cosmopolitan

I’m that person who, as soon as November 1 rolls around, is stripping my apartment of all its Halloween decor and going right into cozy season, complete with an episode of Gilmore Girls playing at all times and a warm candle burning on my bedside table. And that means I’m also thrilled to move on from my last spooky set to the November nail ideas I’ve had saved in my camera roll since, probably, August.

I might be biased (because it’s my birth month), but November is my favorite time of year for manicures. From animal prints to autumnal hues, there’s tons of chic fall nail inspiration to choose from. To find the best nail designs trending this November, I also tapped celebrity manicurists Sigourney Nuñez and John Avery for their insights and favorite nail ideas.

Bambi Print

From our coats and accessories, down to our manicures, “animal print has been huge this year,” explains Nuñez. “Given the nature of the color palette of the Bambi nail trend, which includes a range of browns, chestnut, and beige nudes, this look will definitely be around for the next month.” You can make the look as subtle or statement-making as you want, whether that means a few delicate spots scattered across a nude base or a full set of Bambi-inspired fur.

Earthy Tones

“November is like a sweet spot for earthy and cozy colors if you’re not quite ready to commit to the festive season yet,” Nuñez explains. “Think rich espresso shades and deep greens that lean more toward emerald.” For a coffee hue, go for Manucurist’s Chestnut polish, and for some November earthiness, OPI’s Stay Off The Lawn is autumn dew, bottled.

Autumnal Leaves

Nothing gets me into the fall spirit like spotting colorful foliage, which happens to be peaking in NYC right now. And these detailed leaf motifs bring that same seasonal beauty to your manicure, with intricate shapes and warm, earthy hues that feel perfectly suited for November. To recreate the look, start with a milky base, then paint on your favorite leaf shapes in a mix of fall-inspired colors.

Fall French

“A classic I’m loving right now is the French tip, but with a seasonal twist,” says Donna Charloff, director of service operations at nail care brand MiniLuxe. “My favorite way to freshen it up is with a deep or colorful French tip paired with a warm, creamy nude base.” Try a fall-ready hue like chocolate brown, burgundy, or burnt orange. Or why settle for just one color when you can opt for an entire striped French manicure inspired by your favorite cozy sweater?!

Velvet Shine

@simlynail

@overglowedit

“The cat-eye craze is the biggest trend I’m seeing right now,” says Avery. “The magnetic gel creates movement within the color, and it can look like velvet, satin, or even a gemstone depending on the lighting.” The jewel-esque shades are especially gorgeous as the holiday season approaches, and you can do one color on each fingertip, or go for a monochrome set that still boasts some dimension.

Argyle Prints

“You can’t go wrong with a plaid design,” says Nuñez. “If you use a moody color palette with charcoals, deep purples and jewels tones, the manicure will have a dark academia vibe which feels just right for November.”

Cocoa Chrome

@samrosenails

@overglowedit

A mug of hot cocoa and November are pretty much synonymous, and the same goes for a toasty manicure. And to amp up your classic chocolate brown, try topping it off with a reflective chrome layer for an elevated autumnal finish.
