Lola Young Reveals She’s in “Drugs Recovery” After Passing Out During 2025 Festival

Lola Young took a break from the spotlight after collapsing during her performance at the 2025 All Things Go Festival in September, but is now coming clean her healing journey—and what potentially led to the scary incident.
In a March 28 profile with The Times of London, Lola explained that she’s been in the process of recovery. “Um, so yeah, I think I would rather for the sake of my privacy not say too much,” she told the outlet. “What I would say is that recovery is an ongoing process. I’m not the finished article, but I’m doing a hell of a lot better.”
When asked to elaborate, the “Messy” singer confirmed that she is in “drugs recovery.” She added, “When you’re in recovery…that doesn’t necessarily need to mean drugs—but me specifically, yes.”
After Lola collapsed during her performance, she issued a statement thanking fans for being understanding about the circumstances. Hi, for anyone who saw my set at All Things Go today, I am doing OK now,” she wrote, explaining that she was planning to take a break from social media. “Thank you for all of your support.”
By December, Lola returned with an update: “I just wanted to express gratitude to everyone who has given me time and space to gather myself and get my head in a better place. I’ve felt so much love and support from you all, and it has helped more than you will ever now.”
She added, “I am hoping to gradually get back to performing and continuing [to pursue] my dreams. Happy holidays to you all and can’t wait to see you in 2026. Life is a journey, nothing is perfect, but today I am doing well.”
The Times also revealed that Lola has been to rehab on two different occasions, with her album, I’m Only Fucking Myself, being written after she completed a five-week stay at a treatment facility.
As for her current state of well being, Lola said she “being looked after” and confirmed that she attends Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings on a regular basis. And now, she’s feeling ready to return to the stage.
“I am now in a position where I can do things I couldn’t have done before,” she said. “Doing it slower, more intentionally, but doing it in a way I feel is good for me…I would like to say that this is an ongoing journey. You have to be kind to yourself. You have to always remember that you are not alone. You are not ever, ever alone.”
