How can I watch Toy Story 5?

· Cosmopolitan

Do Buzz and Andy really need to learn about tablet babies? Haven’t they been through enough? Toy Story 5 is pulling the gang out of retirement again for another adventure. If you’re anxious to see how they respond to screen time and/or need to catch up on the last four Toy Story movies, here’s what you need to know about how to watch Toy Story 5 and, eventually, where to stream Toy Story 5.

The film releases in theaters on June 19, 2026. From the new Taylor Swift song to the Buzz Lightyear popcorn bucket, there are plenty of reasons to watch Toy Story 5 in theaters. Don’t you, as a nostalgic adult, want to spend your weekend in an air-conditioned theater with a bunch of other nostalgic adults crying over a movie that’s ostensibly for kids? That’s what Pixar movies are for! No judgement, really! If you happen to have younger kids in your family to bring with you, even better.

When & where will Toy Story 5 be streaming?

First of all, as a member of the House of Mouse you can expect to stream Toy Story 5 on Disney+ obviously. There’s already a special look at the film on the platform and the music video for Swift’s original song.

As for when, we could see Toy Story 5 on Disney+ relatively soon. The Disney Pixar film Hoppers was released on Disney+ at the beginning of June, and its theatrical release was at the beginning of March. That’s just four months, and means we can make an educated guess that Toy Story will be on Disney+ in mid October.

What do watch while you’re in a Toy Story mood:

I mean… watch Hoppers if you haven’t already! It’s a wild and weirdly dark little movie that’s perfect for the adults-who-watch-Pixar crowd. You could also have a Toy Story movie marathon and follow the anthropomorphized playthings from Sid to Forky. There’s also whatever Lightyear was–what was that, anyway? Disney+ also has some really good documentaries, like The Story of Animated Drawing with Walt Disney himself, and Howard about the late Howard Ashman.
