Google to add vocabulary for corrected words to Gboard's Rambler voice typing feature
by Ro · GSMArena.comAndroid Authority app teardown reveals some cool new features coming to Gboard's AI-powered voice typing feature called Rambler. Rambler, however, is a Pixel-exclusive functionality, at least for now, and makes voice typing that much easier. It can leave out pauses or other filler words, but it can't remember corrected words or slang from your personal vocabulary. That's about to change, though.
After dissecting Gboard version 18.6.3.10 beta, Android Authority found clues that Google is working on a vocabulary feature so that Rambler can learn from you over time. One of the settings allows Rambler to remember corrected words, while another allows the AI to look into your contacts and accurately identify names during voice typing.
Of course, you can add words manually and see the full list of your vocabulary in Gboard's settings. There's even an export feature so you can share your list with others.
We don't know when Google will introduce the Rambler novelties, but it seems that the development team is making progress. Android Authority spotted the first signs of Rambler getting smarter back in August, and now we have several features that make the voice typing more personalized and accurate in the latest beta build, so it might not be that long before we see them implemented.
