Israelis Hurt in Direct Hits by Hezbollah Rockets

A number of people in northern Israel were hurt Monday in multiple rocket barrages fired by Lebanon’s Iranian proxy, Hezbollah at towns across the region, from Nahariya, Haifa and Akko all the way east to Mount Hermon.

At least three people were wounded in the Galilee city of Karmiel when a massive barrage of 50 rockets was launched at northern Israel at midday Monday by Hezbollah forces in Lebanon. A one-year-old toddler, a 27-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were all wounded in the attack, while multiple others suffered shock and severe anxiety.

A 40-year-old woman was seriously wounded by shrapnel from the rocket fire in the town of Ba’ana, in the Galilee.

A 52-year-old man sustained moderate shrapnel wounds in another massive rocket barrage aimed at Haifa and its surrounding communities; he was taken to the port city’s Rambam Medical Center.

A 17-year-old teenage boy was hurt when another rocket explosion smashed glass, sending the shards into his body.

A 55-year-old man was hurt after falling while racing to a bomb shelter.

A 75-year-old man was wounded by flying shards of glass from one of the rocket attacks; he, too, was taken to Haifa’s Rambam Medical Center, according to the Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency medical response organization.

Red Alert incoming rocket sirens were triggered throughout the Upper and Western Galilee regions, as well as in the Golan Heights, from the Mediterranean coast across the region to Mount Hermon as multiple rocket barrages were fired at northern Israel.

One of the rockets scored a direct hit on a residential building next to Yeshiva Rina Shel Torah in Karmiel.

While some of the rockets were intercepted, others were not and landed in various areas, including those with city infrastructure.

In addition to the barrage of 50 rockets fired at Israel by Hezbollah around midday, a massive barrage of some 80 rockets was fired by Hezbollah at the Haifa area between 3:40 pm and 3:45 pm, and another barrage of 10 rockets was fired at the region at around 4 pm.

About an hour later, the terrorist army fired a barrage of around 20 rockets at the Galilee city of Tzfat (Safed), Rosh Pina and nearby communities.

Several rockets landed in the Haifa suburb towns referred to as the “Krayiot”, including several that struck cars parked in the streets. Billows of thick black smoke were seen rising from the fires ignited by the rocket explosions in footage uploaded to social media from Kiryat Ata.
