CAA Hires London-Based Agent Rachel Baxter to Broaden International Speakers Department

Rachel Baxter has joined CAA as an agent in the speakers department. Based in the agency’s London office, she will focus on amplifying CAA speakers’ footprint across the U.K., Europe, Middle East and Asia-Pacific.

Baxter brings experience from her seven years at talent management agency YMU, where she built and led the corporate speaking and event appearances division. She also headed the corporate and live events department at M&C Saatchi Merlin, and before that coordinated events for organizations such as the British Olympic Association.

“Rachel’s exceptional track record in securing high-profile speaking engagements and connecting talent with the right audiences makes her a great fit,” said head of CAA speakers Peter Jacobs in a statement. “Her expertise and deep relationships in the industry will be a tremendous asset to our clients as we continue to grow CAA Speakers’ efforts in the international marketplace.”

The CAA speakers department books more than 1,000 engagements annually for a wide range of acclaimed speaker clients, whose topics include business, cultural commentary, thought leaders, print and broadcast media, technology, wellness and inspiration, sports, the arts and entertainment.

Speakers include former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, sports commentator and businessman Gary Neville, football manager José Mourinho. Academy Award-winner Nicole Kidman, former director of market development and spokesperson for Facebook Randi Zuckerberg, Emmy Award-winning actress Hannah Waddingham, music legend Nile Rodgers, former Burberry CEO and Apple executive Angela Ahrendts, Emmy-winning entertainer James Corden, actor and director Stanley Tucci and “Black Mirror” creator Charlie Brooker, among many others.
