Vietnam Box Office Sensation ‘Bunny!!’ Crosses $1 Million Internationally in Opening Week, Expands to Japan, Thailand, Taiwan (EXCLUSIVE)

Vietnamese psychological thriller “Bunny!!” has cleared $1 million across North America and Europe in its first week of international play, distributor 3388 Films has revealed, marking the second-strongest opening week for any Vietnamese title in those combined markets.

The film – whose original Vietnamese title is “Tho Oi” – opened March 26 across nine territories including the U.S., Canada, the U.K., France, Norway, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. The result also installs “Bunny!!” as the top Vietnamese film of 2026 in both its home market and internationally.

Building on that momentum, 3388 Films will expand the release to Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and Mongolia on May 22, with additional European and Asian markets to follow.

Written and directed by Tran Thanh – Vietnam‘s most commercially successful filmmaker, who holds five of the country’s 10 all-time highest-grossing films – “Bunny!!” centers on a popular relationship advice host whose world begins to fracture after an encounter with a guest concealing a deeply unsettling past. The ensemble cast features Tran Thanh alongside Phao, Lyly, Van Mai Huong, Quoc Anh, Vinh Dam, Phap Kieu, Ali Hoang Duong, Quang Thang, Thanh Lam, BB Tran, Dinh Ngoc Diep, Orange, Gil Le and Cris Phan.

The film was produced by Tran Thanh Town, Galaxy Studio and HKFilm. 3388 Films previously distributed “Mai,” the first Vietnamese film to surpass $2 million at the North American and European box office combined.
