Judy Collins Announces Farewell Tour
by Jem Aswad · VarietyLegendary singer-songwriter Judy Collins will embark upon what is being described as her farewell tour, “Sweet Judy Blue Eyes,” on July 4, 2026.
“Spanning iconic venues and cities across North America and beyond, this milestone tour will run through the winter of 2027, offering fans a final opportunity to experience Judy’s timeless voice and storytelling live on stage,” the announcement reads.

The tour’s name, of course, is derived from Crosby Stills & Nash’s famed 1969 song “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes,” written by Stephen Stills and inspired by her. Collins turns 87 on May 1.
A series of warm-up is scheduled for June, before the tour officially kicks off on July 4, 2026 at “America Made In Virginia: 250 Years Together” celebration hosted by Virginia’s American Revolution 250 Commission in Colonial Williamsburg; Collins will headline the event and broadcast.
Select dates will feature special guests such as Richard Thompson, the High Kings, Bruce Cockburn, Elles Bailey, Livingston Taylor and other artists to be announced later in the year.
Following the main tour, Judy will present the “Sweet Judy Blue Eyes – Celebration Encore,” a special series of encore performances for devoted fans and new audiences alike – an opportunity to celebrate six decades of musical brilliance with one of folk’s most treasured artists.
Trained as a classical pianist before pivoting to folk music, Collins released her first album in 1961 but scored her first hit with a cover of Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now.” The recording won Collins a Grammy for best folk performance and effectively introduced the young Mitchell to the world. Collins has been most closely identified with folk music over the decades but her voluminous discography — comprising at least 55 albums — spans multiple styles.
Her Grammy-nominated 2023 album “Spellbound” was her first of all original, self-penned songs. She is also a published author, filmmaker, keynote speaker for mental health and podcast host.
