Buechele, a comedian, writer and composer, posts satirical videos about culture, politics, masculinity and the internet. To date, he’s garnered nearly 1 million followers and more than 200 million views across platforms.
Each episode of “That Sounds Like a Lot” will start off with one of Buechele’s walk-and-talk monologues, unpacking the stories shaping culture, politics and “the increasingly strange rhythms of modern life,” according to the producers. The show then segues into a thoughtful (and funny) conversation with a guest about what actually deserves attention, what’s wildly overhyped and what we’re getting wrong. (Watch the trailer below.)
“I’m very excited to be partnering with Vox and AND Media on ‘That Sounds Like a Lot,'” Buchele said in a statement. “It’s amazing how much easier it is to be funny when you can do it sitting down in a chair instead of roaming the streets of New York.”
Buechele’s work has been featured on Comedy Central, Netflix and the New York Times. He previously was a writer on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” He also releases music under the artist name Booshell. Buechele is repped by CAA.
“Matt has the uncanny ability to notice and precisely describe the things that shape our lives every day,” said Lillian Xu, VP of podcasts at Vox Media. “His sharp and specific takes have made him the voice so many turn to for processing everything from the crazy to the mundane.”

Vox Media’s proven track record of building deeply engaged audiences and creating culturally resonant content across platforms make it the ideal partner for this series.”
