Andy Serkis, BBC Studios, Crunchyroll Chiefs Among Speakers at APOS 2026 Summit

Actor, director and producer Andy Serkis will speak at the APOS Summit 2026, scheduled for June 16-18 at the Mulia Resort in Bali.

The annual gathering, organized by Media Partners Asia, has confirmed a first wave of 37 speakers drawn from across the streaming, broadcast, sports and technology sectors. The list also includes Zai Bennett, CEO and chief creative officer of BBC Studios Global Content, and Rahul Purini, president of Crunchyroll.

A second wave of speakers is due April 22, with the full summit agenda to follow on May 6. Director and writer Josh Nelson Youssef is also among the confirmed creative voices. On the broadcast and telco side, Rab Mukraj, CTO of ABS-CBN Int’l., Lertchai Kodsup, chief mobile business officer at Advanced Info Service (AIS), Euan Smith, group CEO of Astro, Sutanto Hartono, president of Emtek and CEO of SCMA and Vidio, and Yoichi Iwaki, president and representative director of J:COM, are all confirmed.

Streaming platforms account for a significant share of the lineup. Yang Xianghua, president of the mainland and overseas business group at iQIYI, and Janice Lee, MD of PCCW Media Group and CEO of Viu, will attend alongside Julie Choi, CEO of TVING, and Toshi Honda, COO of U-Next. JioStar is represented by three executives: CFO for sports Ishan Chatterjee, head of TV distribution Piyush Goyal, and SVP of gen-AI content and technology Stephan Bugaj.

Artificial intelligence and digital content feature prominently. Jon Zepp, MD of entertainment content and platforms at Google, and Melody Hou, head of partnerships and GTM at Kling AI, are among the confirmed speakers. Sharad Devarajan, co-founder of Faible Media, and the company’s chief AI officer Mark Sagar will also take part, as will Joey Jia, founder and CEO of Crazy Maple Studio and RealShort, and Vinay Singhal, CEO and co-founder of STAGE.

Sports rights and distribution are well covered, with Sanjog Gupta, CEO of the International Cricket Council, Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, and Ameeth Sankaran, CEO of Religion of Sports, all on the bill.

Content protection is represented by Guillermo Rodriguez, director of live content protection at the Motion Picture Association, and the MPA’s EVP and chief content protection officer Larissa Knapp. Isaac Bess, MD of product partnerships at TikTok, and Gunjan Soni, country MD of YouTube India, add platform perspectives to the gathering.

Production and content voices include Tom Thirlwall, co-founder and CEO of COPA90, Brian Nam, CEO and co-founder of DIVE Studios, Manoj Punjabi, CEO of MD Entertainment, and Lino Cayetano, co-founder, president and CEO of Rein Entertainment. Investor and strategic representation comes from Nikhil Bahel, managing partner at Elysian Park Ventures, and Thomas Tull, co-chairman of TWG Global. Warner Bros. Discovery is represented by Simon Robinson, president of global experiences and studio operations, and James Gibbons, president for Asia-Pacific.
